Learning Style

Not all people learn in the same way. You can help your child/teen get as much out of this process as possible by sharing about your child's learning abilities.

In what ways do you think your child/teen enjoys learning?

General Questions

Parent/Guardian

No one can force another person over the age of reason (age 7) to receive a Sacrament in the Catholic Church. Anyone over 7 must freely be willing to receive a Sacrament on their own accord.

If your child/teen expresses that they do not wish to receive a Sacrament, classes will be suspended until your child/teen says otherwise.

I understand that if my child misses more than three classes, it will impact when they receive their Sacraments.

Every child/teen is required to be at every class. I must contact the director of Religious Education to let them know they will not be at class and schedule to make up that lesson.
The spiritual preparation that our parish asks of you involves, but is not limited to the following list. As we pledge to be faithful to our commitment to assist you in teaching and forming your child/teen in the Catholic faith, we ask you to pledge to be faithful to each of the following.

1. Attend Mass every Sunday (or Saturday evenings) with your child/teen.
2. Attend Mass on Holy Days of Obligation with your child/teen.
3. Bring your child/teen to OCIA classes faithfully.
4. Attend OCIA liturgical Rites.
5. Attend OCIA practices/rehearsals for rites (when and if needed)
6. Help your child/teen learn basic Catholic prayers.
7. Help your child/teen reread the materials covered during class.

Almost done. Where should we send the confirmation?
